What are your hours?

Where does the ride start and where do I park?

The Haunted Paintball Hayride entrance is just South of the grandstands at the Colusa County Fairgrounds. PARKING IS FREE. Parking is available anywhere in the Southwest corner of the grounds next to the Caltrans yard (on the corner of Highway 20 & Will S Green Avenue). Please do not park along the road. Please do not keep valuables stored inside of your vehicle. We are not responsible for stolen items or damage to your vehicle.

Is parking free?

YES.

Are you open if it rains?

We run rain or shine but will suspend activity during lightning storms.

How much does it cost?

$15 per person, per ride.

Do I need reservations?

We are limited on the amount of riders we can accommodate each night. You can buy tickets at the hayride but if we reach capacity we won't sell any additional tickets. In order to ensure you can get on a ride we recommend you buy your tickets in advance.

What happens when you reach capacity?

If we reach max capacity we'll shut down new ticket sales. If you purchased tickets in advance, you are guaranteed a spot and you will ride on the night you selected.

Are there refunds?

We'll do everything we can to accommodate your needs, but we do not allow refunds. In the event management suspends activity on account of weather, you will be issued a $15 "raincheck" certificate available for another night's hayride or for redemption at the 2017 Colusa County Fair.

How long is the ride?

20-25 minutes. You will have the chance to shoot dozens of targets and dozens of live creature actors.

Are there hay bales on the ride?

There will not be bales of hay on the trailers. You will be seated comfortably on fixed benches.

What is the minimum age?

This is a family event full of action and entertainment. We have no age restriction, but we recommend that children under 2 not ride due to loud noises and disturbing images. All children under 12 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Children may sit in a parent's lap. One gun will be provided for each seat, therefore, if the child is the only shooter but the parent requires an additional seat, you must purchase two tickets.

Can groups ride together?

We will do our best to allow groups of people to ride together. This may mean your group will have to wait longer in line.

What should I bring and what should I wear?

We provide everything you need. Do NOT bring your own paintballs or paintball gun. It will not be allowed on the premises. Wear clothes that are warm enough for a fall evening hayride. You will not be shot with paintballs. You will, however, be getting on and off a trailer, walking around in the grass/dirt. Closed toe shoes are recommended.

What if I lose something?

If you lose something, we are not able to look for it during the event. We will look for it following the show or the next day and try to contact you if it is found. However, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Can I bring or buy alcohol?

Alcohol is not allowed. Anyone entering the grounds suspected to be under the influence will be asked to leave. This is to help us maintain a family-friendly environment. Safety is a high priority. There will be NO alcohol on sale.

Is it scary?

Scare factor varies from person to person. If you frighten easily, the answer is yes. We have done our best to make the hayride scary and frightfully fun. You will want to go through again and again. If you leave entertained, we have done our jobs.

Can the creatures (actors) touch us?

The actors are not allowed to touch the participants.

Will there be anyone shooting at me on the hayride?

NO. The creatures have the rage but only you have the weapons. The paintball guns are mounted and cannot rotate wide enough to shoot the person next to you.

What if I touch an actor?

Just as they are not allowed to touch you, you are not allowed to touch any of the actors or the props.

Is photography allowed?

Yes, as long as it doesn't interfere with the ride. Flash photography is prohibited. The flash could temporarily blind our actors and cause accidents.

DISCLAIMER: YOU WILL EXPERIENCE INTENSE AUDIO, LIGHTING, EXTREMELY LOW VISIBILITY, STROBE LIGHTS, SPECIAL EFFECTS, AND/OR SUDDEN PHYSICAL ACTIONS. YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS RIDE IF YOU SUFFER FROM HEART CONDITIONS, OR ARE PRONE TO SEIZURES.
